At the Lviv railway station, Jolie spoke with volunteers who are assisting displaced residents, who informed her that each psychiatrist on duty sees up to 15 people a day on average, according to the information she received. Many of the patients are still children at the time of their admission. It's understandable that they're taken aback. I am well aware of the psychological toll that psychological trauma can have on children, and I understand how crucial it is to have someone around who simply states that they are not alone. Angelina Jolie serves as a United Nations Goodwill Ambassador. The United States has declared support for Ukraine and for Ukrainians who have been forced to flee their homes as a result of the conflict ever since the commencement of the large-scale Russian invasion. She was admitted to one of the Italian hospitals where Ukrainians are being treated in the beginning of the month.

This morning, on February 24th, Russia launched a full-scale military invasion of Ukraine, which has been ongoing since then. In addition to attacks on important military and civilian facilities, Russian soldiers are destroying airfields, military units, oil depots, gas stations as well as churches, schools, and hospitals in eastern Ukraine. Ballistic missiles and artillery are used to bombard residential areas, as well as multiple launch rocket launchers and other weapons systems.
