Helene Fischer, a young blonde vocalist, sat on the MDR riverboat's chat couch on July 6, 2007. At the time, she had already made her first broadcast appearance alongside Florian Silbereisen. The singer told how her musical career began in an interview with Jan Hofer.

He was seeking for a duet partner for Florian Silbereisen's "Wedding Festival of Folk Music" in 2005. Helene Fischer's first significant television appearance resulted from this meeting. On May 14, 2005, she performed a medley of Hungarian tunes with Florian Silbereisen. Helene and Florian declared their relationship three years later.


For ten years, the two were the hit world's fantasy pair. Since 2018, the acrobat Thomas Seitel has been by the side of the popular pop singer. They have become the parents of a girl since the end of December 2021. Thomas Seitel is presently touring with Helene on her "Rausch" tour.
