[Multiple Russian rocket strike hits Kyiv]

On Sunday, June 26, at around 6:20 am Ukranian local time, explosions were heard in Kyiv. In the 9-story building where the explosions occurred, a Russian missile demolished the top levels, and a fire broke out.

Journalists from the Ukrainian newspaper "Ukrainska Pravda," the mayor of the capital city Vitaliy Klitschko, and the State Emergency Service of Ukraine provided the information.

There were reports of four separate explosions.

It was in the Shevchenko area that the blasts took place, according to Klitschko. Rescue workers and ambulances are on their way to the location of the incident.

Two homes are now being used to rescue residents and evacuate them.

According to the State Emergency Service, the shelling caused a fire to break out in a residential structure with nine stories, causing the seventh, eighth, and ninth floors to be partially destroyed. The fire was caused by the shelling. An area that comprised a total of 300 square metres was affected by the fire.

There are individuals hiding below all of the debris. A number of individuals were forced to flee, and two people were sent to the hospital.

A guy was killed, but his wife and their kid, who was 8 years old, were pulled from the wreckage alive.

According to a report by "Kyivvodokanal," a significant decrease in pressure was detected in the water supply network in the Shevchenkovsky, Svyatoshinsky, Podolsky, Solomensky, and Goloseevsky districts around 6:25 in the morning. It seems that there is a link between it and explosions, according to the early findings.

Oleksiy Kuleba, the head of the OVA, said that air defence personnel were successful in shooting down a missile that was flying over the Kiev area.

At dawn, the air raid alert was issued twice in Kyiv and the surrounding area. The first time, it was issued from 04:39 to 05:03, and the second time, it was issued from 05:47 to 07:18 in the region and until 07:21 in the city.
