During a conference that was organized by the Turkish Embassy in Dhaka, 14 Bangladeshi firms and 6 Turkish companies came together to form the Bangladesh-Turkiye Business Forum (BTBF). This decision was made during the meeting.



The #BangladeshTürkiyeBusinessForum strives to be the top business forum to bring #Bangladesh and #Türkiye closer to one another via the use of creative branding and the formation of partnerships.



The Bangladesh Turkey Business Forum (#BTBF) will serve as an advocacy forum to promote bilateral ties between Bangladesh and Türkiye, as well as strengthen support for bilateral commerce, investments, and cultural encounters.



The following people are founding members of the BTBF:

After being elected to the position of Chairperson of the BTBF, Dr. Rubana Huq made the following statement: "May this forum improve bilateral links, accelerate connections, and optimize potential." Connecting individuals in business and people in business with one another will undoubtedly result in the creation of more possibilities for both of us.



The BTBF will shortly be formally created so that its working groups on trade, investment, and cultural activities may begin carrying out their respective missions. Within its Secretariat, a Research and Data Cell will also be established in order to foster cooperation with knowledgeable individuals and institutions that are pertinent to the matter at hand. There will be an emphasis placed on achieving gender parity throughout the BTBF's membership and leadership structures.



Since the Honorary Consul General of Turkey in Chattogram and Co-chairperson of the Bangladesh Turkey Business Forum (BTBF), Mr. Salahuddin Kasem Khan made the following statement: "The Forum is notable as some of the oldest and biggest corporates of Bangladesh and Türkiye are participating." Bangladesh has the potential to become a hub for Turkish companies operating in the Bay of Bengal region, and Turkey has the potential to become a hub for Bangladeshi companies operating in the European Union and the Central Asian regions. Both countries are members of the D-8 Organization for Economic Cooperation.



Patrons of the Bangladesh Turkish Business Forum (BTBF) will be Turkish Ambassadors stationed in Dhaka, and Honorary Consul Generals of Türkiye in Bangladesh will serve as honorary members of the Executive Board.


HE The Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Bangladesh, Mustafa Osman Turan, has expressed his satisfaction with the seventeen Bangladeshi and Turkish enterprises' decision to join forces for the mutual benefit of both of their nations by forming a joint venture. "As of right now, there is a new strong business platform that will rebrand Türkiye in Bangladesh and Bangladesh in Türkiye so that our people can get to know each other better and tap into their full potential via collaborations and collaborative initiatives," said the CEO of the new platform. During their discussion, Ambassador Turan relayed the information to the Founding Members.


In September of 2022, a group from the BTBF is going to go to Turkey in order to meet with representatives from the Turkish government and business community and investigate potential avenues for collaborative endeavors.
