Mama Cax, who died in 2019 at the age of 30, broke the fashion industry's beauty standard by openly showing off her prosthetic limb on the runway.

Mama Cax, actual name Cacsmy Brutus, was diagnosed with bone and lung cancer when she was 14 years old.

Two years later, her hip replacement surgery failed, resulting in the amputation of her right leg. She later remarked that regaining her confidence took her several years.
