So far, more than 110 hotels with over 11,500 rooms have been explored. Twelve of these have already been obtained contractually. Five of them will open in 2023's first trimester. The growth ambitions are ambitious. Because the Handwritten Collection is expected to encompass more than 250 dwellings by 2030.

"Our objective is not just to provide a genuine guest experience, but also to assist the rising number of independent boutique hotels that want to boost their worldwide reputation, attract more visitors, and increase their profitability without sacrificing their individuality," Alex Schellenberger adds.

"The hotels we add to the Handwritten Collection are chosen by travelers who value warm travel experiences and traditional hospitality with a twist, on the one hand, and hoteliers who... want to cherish and nurture the unique personality of their properties while reaping the benefits of a leading global partner," said the Chief Marketing Officer of Accor's Premium, Midscale, and Economy Brands.

The Handwritten Collection marries people with hotels. And the latter reflect the warmth and personality of those who care for them. During the stay, the host's personal touch should be obvious. The same as a handwritten note. It all starts with a kind greeting. It doesn't stop with tiny snacks and presents, though. Accor guarantees that guests will be astonished.

"There will be moments of storytelling and conversation that build a genuine connection, whether in social events or in the seclusion of a hotel room. This link between host and guest helps to make the stay special and unforgettable "said Caroline Bérnard, Accor's Global SVP Economy & Midscale Brands. The Hotel Shanghai Sheshan Oriental in Shanghai/China and the Le Saint Gervais Hotel & Spa are the brand's first two properties. In February, two hotels in Australia will open.
