On the evening of April 29, in the city of Belgorod, which is located 40 kilometers from the Ukrainian border, the sounds of explosions could be heard, and images appeared in the local media that were interpreted as warnings of a planned mass strike on the city by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, according to local authorities.

Russian news outlets said that for many hours, the sounds of explosions could be heard coming from Ukraine's border with Russia.

It has been suggested by locals that the sounds of explosions were most likely caused by the activity of the Russian air defense system (air defense). Meanwhile, the sky above Belgorod region remained clear, and there were no indications of any air defense action in the area, which was a welcome sight.

Images have surfaced in local Telegram channels and social media postings that people understand as a warning that the Armed Forces of Ukraine would conduct a heavy attack on the Russian city of Donetsk on Saturday, April 30 at 5:14 a.m. local time. All basements and bomb shelters in the city were made accessible in case of an emergency.

Remember that late in the evening on March 29, explosions could be heard near the hamlet of Krasny Oktyabr in the Belgorod region (RF), and clouds of smoke could be seen rising into the sky above the settlement. The ammo store was engulfed in flames.
